In the past two years I’ve only spent $110 on kids guitars. He has one electric and one acoustic now. For his electric guitar I decided he’d need
to find some good kit to go with it all. This involved making a list of three
vital things. The required accessories were an amplifier and cable. You must
have an amplifier and a cable or else you actually will not be able to hear the
electric guitar at all. The amp that I managed to get was perfectly appropriate
for him as a starter. Other little bits and bobs include a guitar pick, guitar
strap, gig bag and extra strings. Its really important that you also buy a
guitar tuner because a beginning guitarist will not be able to tune their
guitar independently and won’t be able to learn unless the guitar is of course
in tune. You will also need a metronome, especially if your child has
difficulty with rhythm as they often do when they’re at a young age.
